For the 2021-2022 school year Sarasota County School District earned an “A” from the Florida Department of Education — a grade it has maintained since the grading system was instituted in 2004. Students that test as gifted have the option to attend Pine View School, the No. 1 public magnet high school in Florida according to Niche rankings for 2023.

The Bradenton Area offers several college preparatory schools including Saint Stephens, Bradenton Christian, Lakewood Ranch Preparatory Academy and IMG Academy — a world-renowned boarding school with an enrollment of 1,300+ students. Suncoast Technical College allows high school juniors and seniors to enter no-tuition dual enrollment programs in advanced manufacturing, business management and more. In the Bradenton area, Manatee Technical College provides a similar dual-enrollment program, with courses in Computer-Aided Drawing (CAD), Modeling, Global Logistics and 15 other programs.
